Are You An Armchair Quarterback

Are you an 'armchair quarterback?' Are you constantly thinking about what somebody said, or are you interpreting things they said (or wish they had said)?

That is what an armchair quarterback does. An armchair quarterback will break down a conversation they had with a woman (or a man if you're a woman).

If you are an armchair quarterback, what you'll do is grab the ear of one of your friends and break down the entire exchange -- line by line. What happens here is that you end up breaking down and interpreting the situation based on a want or a need, and you end up skewing it in your direction.

Here's what's crazy about being an armchair quarterback. You can never really do what you are trying to do, and you are doing nothing that helps you.

First, you have no idea what the other person is thinking unless you talk to them. So no matter how much time you spend dissecting a conversation, you will never know for a fact whether your guesses and speculation are correct.

Second, it's such a waste of time going through this over and over again with your friends. A real quarterback is someone who leads his team. If you watched Mark Sanchez recently in the Jets' game against the Miami Dolphins, you saw a great example of a quarterback who was not leading his team.

His shoulders were hunched over, and he was pissed off practically the whole time. Every time he threw the ball badly, his body language was awful. He'd roll his shoulders forward, he'd pout a little bit. He is an armchair quarterback.

Peyton Manning, on the other hand, is never an armchair quarterback. He may get really pissed at himself when he screws up, but he always goes back out there and attacks the field.

If you look at Tom Brady, he is the same way. He attacks the field of play. He owns the field of play.

So what do you want to be in your life?

Do you want to be like Mark Sanchez? Do you want to be a guy who is constantly thinking and wondering about everything people say, or do you want to be more like Tom Brady and go out there, take control and attack the field of life?

A real quarterback takes full control over everything in their life, and they don't worry about what they think someone is thinking. In reality, you never know what someone is thinking until you ask them.

A real quarterback will do that. A real quarterback will ask a woman out. A real female quarterback will go after the man she wants and not worry about whether she's playing it right or playing it wrong.

You can't play it right or wrong if you only play it the way you want to play it. If you're in complete control of your life, you will play it that exact way and never waste time being an armchair quarterback.

How Not To Be A Nagging Wife

Women are in the habit of nagging. Adolescents and teenagers are nagged for not keeping their things in order, not eating on time, giving more time to friends and games than to studies etc.

Mostly the brunt of the nagging housewife is borne by the husband. He is nagged most because he matters most to her who expects full support and help. His not doing things according to her likings and desires frustrates her resulting in nagging. Some women have a nagging nature and some develop it later due to an uncooperative attitude and lack of consideration on the part of their husbands.

Why a wife nags: When she wants to get and see the things done her way. When she is overworked and tired and there is no recreation for her. When she does not get a break from the monotony of routine. When she does not get help from her husband and children and is not appreciated for her work and devotion to home and family. This is also due to early experiences of seeing her mother keeping control on her father this way.
Adverse effects of nagging on Husband: The husband feels strangled and either carries out the request task meekly or resents it by an aggressive and unacceptable response.

He may keep quite but keep boiling inside and become prone to high blood pressure and heart attack or become quarrelsome creating scenes which affect children adversely. The husband might also start drinking or drift to another woman to find solace leading to the extreme steps of separation and divorce or committing suicide.
How a wife can avoid nagging: Communicate your needs in a positive and civilized way. Develop good relationship with your husband so as to create a deep respect for each other. Talk with your husband about what help is needed from him and why.

This should be done in a relaxed mood and when he is receptive. Try to understand his point of view and his difficulties. A request works better than an ordering tone. Avoid being too rigid about your views and likes and dislikes. You should curb your dominating nature.

Wives must realize that each person has some peculiarities and it is no use to compare him with others. She should know that she will never succeed in changing her husband by nagging. Changes can be brought about only by a loving and cajoling attitude with a lot of patience.

Book Review Valentine Day 5 All About Us

It's not exactly the same concept, as the book is kind of a documented version of your thoughts, hopes, and dreams, but they'll spark some of the same discussions that are brought up in the book.

Either way, the idea is to focus on your partner and your relationship on a more intimate level.

Getting A Womans Phone Number While Driving

I live in L.A. and I see hot girls all the time in traffic. I have a nice car (BMW) and I have a nice job and style. I read the 'code so I know what to do but I am always in LA traffic seeing these hot ass girls lol! What do you suggest for "traffic game?"

I had to laugh at this email, because I know exactly what Seth is talking about.

(living right next to New York City makes driving by a hot woman an EVERY DAY thing)

The U.S. has such a car culture. I mean, one of the MOST COMMON places where we interact with a TON of people, is in traffic. In Europe and other places it's quite different:

People mostly walk, and there are lots of public spaces for people to congregate and meet each other.

And I believe it's one of the reasons European women are more sexual in nature While American women find European men so sexually attractive.

(Plus, the accent doesn't hurt)

However, in America, we spend a good chunk of our lives in our cars, looking at the floating heads of strangers, fogged by two layers of window. It's really a strange thing, evolutionarily.

Our brains did not evolve for eons for this kind situation. And yet here we are.

One of the great things about being human is that we can create new things, and then adapt to them. Our brains are adaptation machines!

And there are definitely ways to adapt to the inherent obstacles of meeting women in traffic, or any situation for that matter.

How often have you been sitting at a light, and you look over and see a HOT older woman in a minvanI mean a real MILF, and you just wanted to say something, but you didn't know how?

I know rolling down the window and yelling, "HEY! WHO LIES MORE? MEN OR WOMEN?" doesn't sound like it would work

Or maybe you're on the highway, and you look over to the next lane to see a cute, young hottie with a great set of perky breasts and long blond hair bunched in a pony-tail

So what do you DO? Now, I WILL give you tips and advice you can use starting today

But this brings up a deeper issue I want to go over, first:

You see, I'm a big proponent of SAVING TIME.

I don't like to spend a lot of time preparing what I say, and talking to a woman that may not be available or interested. So I like to do things efficiently. I like to go direct, and I like to begin escalating quickly.

I actually WANT the woman to have the opportunity to reject me.

That way, if she does, I can move one without wasting another second of my time, which is very valuable these days.

My attitude is the same in traffic, and in fact it's EASIER to "open" a lot of women in traffic, with ZERO risk. The great thing is, if she complies with you, by actually talking to you or giving you her number (as I'll tell you how to do in a second), there's an almost certain chance of a successful outcome. (ie. getting her over to your place THAT NIGHT.. or well within one-to-two dates)

There are two ways to go about meeting women while in traffic. Keep in mind I'm not talking about women walking on the street, as you drive by.

I'm talking car-to-car here. The first way is exchanging numbers. You can do this by giving her your number, or by her giving you hers. There are a variety of methods for this:

You can lean out of your window and simply say:

"Hey! You're a cutie. I got a boring drive ahead of me. How bout I give you a call!"

Or you could do something situational, like if you're stuck in a traffic jam, roll your window down, get her attention - be sure to smile - and say:

"Looks like we'll be here for a while. I think you're cute. Let's talk!"

Another thing you can do is write your number on a piece of paper in big clear numbers, and add something like "EMERGENCY - call this number now," or "SOS," or something funny that will make her curious.

Get her attention and put it up on the window. You'll probably want to write out your message ahead of time and keep it in the car at all times since you never know when you'll see a cute woman in traffic.

The other thing you can do is go for a quick instadate on the spot. Instead of going for a number exchange, you can just say -

"Hey! I think you're gorgeous. How 'bout some coffee - pull into the starbucks up the road!"

I want to make something clear:

Your percentage of actual closes in traffic is going to be quite small.

But that's OK.

It's a VERY tough situation, logistically.

The good news is that it's really easy and you can do it ALL THE TIME. I don't know about you, but driving isn't very exciting. This is an easy, simple, risk-free way to make your trip a whole lot more fun. It's not like you have anything better to do - you're just sitting there. It takes almost no effort, and you'll never see these women again!

So there's no risk, no cost, just the potential for a great outcome. And like I said, if the woman complies, you can bet that's a solid number. And if she actually stops somewhere to meet you, you can bet she's horny and has nothing better to do!

The key to all this is to be silly and spontaneous, and just GO FOR IT.

If that sounds hard for you, because you don't consider yourself a fun, silly, spontaneous guy, I beg to differ. Every man has the ability to be a pickup artist and make the most of his opportunities. All you need to do, is get out there, and give just ONE of the many examples I told you a try.

I never thought I'll give dating a chance. Perhaps, when I lost my wife, I got afraid to love again. However, I realized that life has to go on. Start a regime of looking at your best. You can read health magazines and apply what you'll learn from them, go to the gym and be fit and fab or go to a salon, have a wonderful hair cut and have your nails cut. These things can make dating and men to look up to you because it shows you give importance to yourself. These can add up to your confidence too. Confident people attract people, so keep a man through this. In dating and men hunting, get your image right, an image you really want to portray and that is true. With this, you can even meet someone even if you're just shopping or dining outside.

LOOK AT YOUR GOALS TO ACHIEVE

Think of what you want to achieve from dating. Set your goals and their time when you want to have them. Do you see dating and men an effective way of meeting these goals like getting married someday? If you don't think about this factor then you might not be ready to keep a man yet. Be honest to yourself and to what you really want.

BE POSITIVE AND BE WITH THE POSITIVE

In learning dating and men, be with people who can understand you and believe in dating and relationships. You can keep a man also by being positive yourself. If you hang out with negative people, they will tend to sabotage your date. You may also attend gatherings of single people for you to meet more and more.

Dating and men are two different words that both needs understanding and attention especially if you want to make it a successful one. Women, you can follow these tips or ask your friends to make dating a bridge for you to finally keep a man that you like. Dating is just a channel to find love and having a relationship is another thing. For someone like me who have loved already but lost, moving on and loving again is essential. As you can already tell, I have read a boatload of books about being single because, well, to start, I'm single, and second, this is sorta my job. But while I was kind of embarrassed to read this book in public (I really am so wonderful, but it's obnoxious to buy a book that tells everybody so), I discovered that it really didn't tell me the same crap that most books do.

For the first time, I had a dating author - Susan Page, in this case - telling me that maybe the fat guy in the mailing department at work is not the one I have to settle for. No. I was allowed to strive and want the perfect man. All I had to do was figure out why I was still single and develop the necessary skills to avoid the commitment-phobes and guys who aren't big fans of intimacy (I'm telling you, I must've crossed hundreds of men off that damn list).

What did I end up? A feeling of positivity. A feeling that I could get up, put on a nice dress, head out and meet someone. A real someone. Not just that creepy guy on the corner who keeps propositioning me for a slice of 99-cent pizza and a "foot" massage" I'm So Wonderful, Why Am I Still Single? does essentially offer readers some thought provoking assignments. This way, most readers will put the book down and feel like they might have a better sense of their own issues and come to realizations that they may not have come to otherwise.

And because Susan Page added assignments to the book, readers might also feel like they're being more proactive in changing their own lives.

Man Set Wife On Fire

What does a husband do when he becomes really irate with a wife who is overspending? Why, he sets her on fire, of course.

Croatian man, ZDRAVKO CRNECKI, 37, allegedly set his wife on fire because she was really overspending and he couldn't take it anymore. Last week, Crnecki poured gasoline all over his 46-year-old wife and then lit her on fire.

The woman, who was severely injured, told police that her husband came home drunk out of his mind and began berating her and her daughter for spending way too much money while out shopping that day.

Then - and I'm guessing the alcohol may have played a major role here - he doused her with gasoline and threw a match at her.

Luckily, her daughter and a neighbor took her to a nearby hospital immediately after the incident. Although seriously injured, she is expected to recover.

Shockingly enough, Crnecki already has a criminal record, so I'm guessing he likely won't be getting out of jail anytime soon. Hopefully, this doesn't catch on.
