Dating is basically the first step on building up relationships. Yes, dating can be a big, tough thing to do for a woman. Yet, on a male perspective, I can give you some useful tips for having a successful date with a man since I am a man myself. The tips for dating that I will be giving you are based entirely on my experience of travelling in Europe and meeting different female personalities and cultures there.

Honesty matters. Yes, it really matters for dating. Try to talk with your date about how things went the past few days, as well as the things that he likes or dislikes in order to determine if you two are compatible with each other or not. If he asks you the same thing, reply with honest and sincere answers, so that you will be able to put off awkwardness in the conversation and keep it light and casual.
Also, you don't have to impress your dating partner, as you will be enticed to pretend as someone or something that you are not. Pretending will just get you into boggy situations and will not get you into relationships at all. After all, as relationships progresses, every couple are finding out something about each other at a time, which is why pretending and impressing your date is never a good thing to do on a date. Consequently, dates and relationships can be lot more fun and exciting if you are able to be comfortable and just be yourself.
On the date, you will get nervous for dating him for sure, especially if it is the first time. Chances are that he will be also just as nervous as you are. Nervousness between the two of you can result to silence and awkwardness of the situation. To break the ice, you have to be up-front and shatter the awkwardness. You can start a simple conversation or crack a joke or punch in a witty remark. This will give your date a breathing room for dating you comfortably and break down his nervousness for dating with you.
I am a man. As a man, we have an intrinsic appetite for women who are good listeners. So, let your date talk while you listen to everything that he says. Ask open-ended questions that will motivate him to talk more and tell about himself. Do not throw him simple yes-or-no questions. Ask him what-who-where-when-how-why questions, especially on topics about relationships, so that you can keep the conversation rolling smoothly.
When it comes to building lasting relationships, showing too much eagerness on him can make his desire to know more about you decrease and fail. As much as you might want to be with him again, it is best if you let him ask for dating with you again. If he is interested on you, he will surely call or send you an SMS for setting up a next date. However, do not be too obvious that you like him too, if you do. Just keep up the game of chase as he tries to go after you. This scheme for dating establishes stronger relationships than more instantaneous methods do.

1. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver
This is one recent celebrity breakup that shocked a lot of people, if only because the marriage between the ex-governator and Shriver seemed so stable. Then again, allegations of Arnold’s wandering eye, Roman hands, and Russian fingers have plagued the couple forever – right up until he got elected, it seems like. The news that he misused state funds to do things for the mistress is even worse. Maria’s handling things admirably well thus far, though. Might be something in that Kennedy bloodline.
2. Scarlett Johansson and Sean Penn
I didn’t understand this relationship from the get-go. I mean, I think Sean Penn’s an excellent actor, but he’s got a temper, plus, well, she’s Scarlett Johansson. Her divorce from Ryan Reynolds undoubtedly hit her hard, but her whirlwind romance with Penn was still a little weird. A lot weird. And kind of gross, if some of the rumors are true. Speaking of rumors, there are already tales spreading that the two are getting back together.
3. Cameron Diaz and Alex Rodriguez
The recent celebrity breakup between these two wasn’t really a surprise. I mean, A-Rod isn’t exactly known for his long term relationships, you know? I don’t know what it is about the guy, but it’s like he thinks he’s got something to prove, running around with all these A-listers. I feel bad for Cameron, though. I love her, and I still kind of wish she’d get back together with Justin Timberlake. They were cute together.
4. Ryan Phillippe and Amanda Seyfried
This breakup makes me sad. I never thought I’d want to see Ryan Phillippe (who’s secretly MY boyfriend, actually) seriously be with anyone except Reese Witherspoon, but I love Amanda Seyfried even more, and I thought they looked great together. They would have made the most ridiculously pretty babies. Still, their relationship has been so hush-hush and on-again, off-again, who knows what the future holds?
5. Adrianne Curry and Christopher Knight
I’ve been waiting for this split pretty much since the two of them met on The Surreal Life. This pairing was one of the oddest things I’ve ever seen, and I never thought they went well together. I’m not the hugest fan of either “celebrity,” but Adrianne is a wild, no-hold’s-barred, blunt, crazy, speak-her-mind kind of girl – and while their relationship was being chronicled on VH1, it always seemed like Christopher was trying to censor that. Apparently she finally decided the same thing. You ought to read the publicists’ reasons for the split; they say pretty much everything.
6. Lady Gaga and Luc Carl
This recent celebrity breakup actually surprised me, not so much because of the breakup itself, but rather because it came out at all. Lady Gaga is out there and ostentatious about most everything, but you don’t hear a lot about her love life in the tabloids. I was just surprised to hear anything about her personal life. Knowing her, she’ll turn the heartbreak into a wildly popular new song.
7. Leonardo DiCaprio and Bar Refaeli
I don’t think anyone was really surprised by this. These two have broken up so much that I’ve started to wonder if their relationship follows the cycles of the moon or something. Do you know what I really wish? I wish Leo would just get with Kate Winslet. I wonder if the two have ever actually thought of being together?
There have probably been even more recent celebrity breakups. It’s hard to believe how quickly some stars go through relationships, but in a way, it’s easy to understand. After all, costars in romantic movies are with each other day in and day out, filming incredibly intense and passionate scenes. I used to similarly develop crushes with the costars of school plays or musicals. Who were you most glad – and most sad – to see breakup?
