Researchers studied interviews of over 1,500 couples who were married or in serious relationships, and followed up with 1,000 of these couples 5 years later to see what they were up to.
The UK experts discovered that if the wife was 5 or more years older than her husband, they were more than 3 times more likely to head to divorce court.
But if the age gap was reversed and the wife was 5 years or more younger than her husband, the odds of marital bliss stood much higher.
So now all the women over 40 are completely screwed because the young guys won't want them and the older guys want younger women. Wow, talk about being stuck in single limbo.
