Seducing Women In The Daytime

Seducing Women In The Daytime Image
Most men restrict themselves to meeting women in bars and clubs on a weekend. But wouldn't it be nice if you could meet women all the time, every time you are out of your house. Adding the ability to do this will increase the number of women you can seduce massively, and the best part is, it's easier!

Day time seductions have lots of benefits and differences compared to night game:

* The girls are usually on their own (they probably won't be in the night!).

* The girls are not used to getting hit on in this situation so don't have a negative attitude towards it.

* You will be getting the real person - most people have a persona that they adopt in a club.

* Because you are both sober and being yourselves, any number you get in the day-time is a lot more solid.

* Meeting a guy in the day is a lot more romantic than "the dude in the club".

* You meet girls that don't ever go to clubs - a different type of girl. You also meet clubby girls too!

The process for a night-time pickup is very different, here's what you need to do in the day-time:

1. START THE CONVERSATION WITHOUT PUTTING TOO MUCH PRESSURE ON HER

The above is a must, if you can be funny too, then great. By pressure I mean asking her a personal question, displaying too much interest, or otherwise putting her under pressure. It needs to be very natural and relaxed. Canned lines and cheesy chat up lines are going to bomb. The best thing to do is say something situational, or to pace the conversation in her head. If she is looking at soup, talk about soup first, if she is waiting around in the cold, talk about waiting around in the cold. Examples of good opening lines would be:

Bookshop: "Do you know where the X section is? Oh you are so hired/fired as my librarian".

Supermarket: "I'm useless with wine and have someone coming for dinner who knows their stuff, can you recommend me a wine to go with".

2. KEEP ON TALKING UNTIL SHE OPENS UP

So you have said something, the tendency now is to ask a bunch of questions. Don't do that until she is comfortable talking to you. Do most of the talking, follow up your opening line with something that naturally follows. Notice things about her and comment on them. Make assumptions about what she is doing. After a while you will reach a point where her body language opens up and she starts to offer more to the interaction because she has gotten used to the (admittedly strange) situation.

3. Find Connections

Find things you share in common - interests, likes, and hobbies. You can get away with more personal questions once she has committed to the interaction. Now you are looking for a good opportunity - something you could do together.

4. GET THE NUMBER

If you find a common interest, suggest you do that together. If not, use the universal "we should hang out sometime", if she agrees, hand her your phone!

Get good at seducing women in the day-time and you'll be able to have a date every day of the week without going to crowded bars and clubs!

Free Dating Site

Free Dating Site Image
The first thing online singles are going to see when looking up possible matches is your profile picture. This is why you A) have to have one and B) it has to be the best photo you can take. The free dating site, OkCupid, did an analysis of over 7,000 of their members' pictures to figure out which ones were the most effective in generating matches. The truth they discovered may help you make a killer first impression with a picture that is bound to have singles across the web knocking at your online dating doorstep. Check out the following tips for men and women based on their results:

#1: EYE CONTACT. This has always been thought to be extremely important in exuding confidence and showing your interest in someone. But as it turns out, making eye contact with the camera works in your favor as well. Here's the lowdown on eye contact for the different sexes:

* LADIES: Studies show that women who look directly at the camera while smiling or using a flirty expression tend to get more online attention than others who use such expressions without eye contact (this can give off the vibe of a bad attitude).
* GUYS: The best pose for guys' pictures is zero smile, zero eye contact. The runner up is smiling without eye contact.

#2: FACE. There's no doubt about it, people like to see faces...so show yours off. The majority of online dating services (OkCupid included) will tell you that it is best to choose a profile picture that is a clear and up close shot. However, results of OkCupid's study show that whether or not you show your face doesn't have an impact on the amount of quality singles you reel in.

#3: CAMERA ANGLE. This may come as a surprise, but the classically cheesy "My-Space" shot that is achieved by holding a camera above your head or in front of a mirror and looking ever-so coy has actually proven quite effective in luring in singles. For both men and women, these pictures are more successful than they are average. If you're a woman, this is the best pose you can make.

#4: SHOWING SKIN. You may be the more conservative type but according to OkCupid's studies, a revealing pic can greatly help your efforts in getting off the market. You don't have to undress like a Playboy model-there are ways to be sexy without showing too much. If you're comfortable with this idea then go for it!

* LADIES: A picture where you are displaying a little bit of cleavage draws 12.9 new contacts per month, 49% more than average. Numbers show that older women tend to get fewer messages than younger ones. But if you're older and choose a photo that is more on the revealing side, you might be giving the 20-somethings a run for their money.
* GUYS: If you're a guy with a nice body, it is suggested that you take off your shirt rather than leave it on. If you decide to stay clothed, however, stick to your usual style and keep it on the casual side. Guys who get dressed up for a profile pic don't fare as well as those who dress as they normally would.

#5: SMILING. Everyone likes a great smile. It shows that you are friendly, happy and fun-loving. But even if you're the type who doesn't go anywhere without a smile plastered on your face, when it comes to your online dating pic, smiling might not always be the best way to go.

* LADIES: Overall, research suggests that smiling is better than not for women. But if you choose to go with a picture showcasing your best flirty face, this will also be well-received by online admirers.
* GUYS: For the men, if you have a profile picture of yourself looking away from the camera without a smile...you are golden because the ladies love this. Another great idea? Try smiling and not looking directly at the camera.

#6: CONTEXT. Many think that when you post a picture on your dating profile it should be of you alone in a serious position. Well if you don't want to go this route, the exciting news is that you can highlight how well-traveled, active and social you are in your pic and research shows that it won't reflect negatively in your quest for a cyber-relationship.

* LADIES: The most popular contexts are as follows...1) The "MySpace" self-picture 2) A picture taken in bed 3) An action shot that shows your outdoorsy/athletic side
* GUYS: It will be your best bet to go for one of these...1) A photo with an animal 2) A pic showing off your rippling muscles 3) A picture that shows you engaging in an interesting activity

Maybe You Can Go Back Home Dion Dimucci

Maybe You Can Go Back Home Dion Dimucci Image
"A Wanderer, the Singer Dion Returns to the Bronx"

by

David Gonzalez

December 9th, 2011

The New York Times

DRESSED in black with shades to match, Dion DiMucci stood on East 187th Street and pointed to Grandma Maria's apartment building. In the 1940s, that corner fire escape was the best perch in Belmont for the street fairs where big guys sang big songs.

"I had like a loge seat up there," said Dion, the singer-songwriter best known by his first name. "You don't know what it was like to hear those guys. They would sing opera. It was wild!"

He tossed out that last word with a touch of Bronx Italian attitude, betraying the vocal swagger that made him famous in the 1950s as the leader of the Belmonts, later as solo act and eventually enshrined him in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. That attitude made Dion, in Bruce Springsteen's opinion, the link between Sinatra and rock 'n' roll.

Now, after two failed attempts to bring his life to the screen, Dion is collaborating with Charles Messina, a playwright and director, on "The Wanderer - the Life and Music of Dion." It will weave his songs through a plot centered on the singer's life from 1957 through the late 1960s, a time that brought him his greatest success and biggest tragedies - sort of a deeper version of "Jersey Boys," the jukebox musical about Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.

A few weeks ago he took Mr. Messina to Belmont, the Italian enclave that was the center of his young world and a place where he still easily walks the streets. The visit was not a nostalgia trip - Dion keeps recording new songs - but a way to help Mr. Messina get a feel for Dion's world.

"This kid Charles - he's 40 and I call him a kid - he's ready to pop!" Dion said. "I like his style. I like the way he wrote. He caught a vision! I mean, I can write a three-minute song. But a play? That's amazing. You know, I always saw my story as a young 'Sopranos' with great music and a Rocky Graziano 'Somebody Up There Likes Me' ending. It's a story of redemption. A rock and roll redemption story!"

Dion grew up not too far from Belmont's main drag, on the second floor of a two-story house on Prospect Avenue. His father, Pasquale, was a puppeteer, though he liked to talk more than work. His mother, Frances, worked in a hat factory. The two argued a lot.

"When they argued, I just went to my room and practiced guitar," Dion recalled. "So the more they argued, the better guitar player I became."

Mr. Messina, who has had plays about Freddie Mercury and Mario Lanza produced Off Broadway and elsewhere, knew he had the makings of a compelling story after a mutual friend introduced him to Dion a few years ago. The two shared an Italian-American upbringing and a feel for the city's streets. And he was fascinated by how Dion - who can pepper a conversation with casual references to Lou Reed, Jackie Wilson, St. Jerome and St. Augustine - survived a turbulent era.

"The conflict was irresistible to me as a dramatist," he said. "But what's interesting about Dion is that he lived. In my other plays, you don't have that ending where the guy overcame. Dion overcame."

Mr. Messina and a preliminary cast have held several readings of the script for potential investors, as they try to raise the financing to mount a workshop next year. The show would have more than 20 songs, including Dion's hits and other songs from the era, as well as new originals. Both Mr. Messina and Dion said the response had been encouraging.

"It took 'Jersey Boys' 10 years to get to Broadway," Mr. Messina said. "I think we can get there faster. If you took the music out of 'Jersey Boys,' would it still work? Our story can, because Dion's life was dramatic."

Indeed, tragedy was never too far from Dion's life, even during his dizzying success. He had become addicted to heroin around the time he hit it big with the Belmonts as they recorded hits like "I Wonder Why" and "Teenager in Love," and later on his own, with "The Wanderer" and "Donna the Prima Donna." And while he was on the road with Buddy Holly for a winter dance tour in 1959, he balked at spending 36 - the same amount his parents paid in monthly rent - for a seat on a chartered plane. The plane's crash claimed the lives of Holly, Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper.

The play does not shy away from showing those searing moments. Dion says it has captured something that other efforts to dramatize his life have missed. He recalled watching a reading and being stunned during the scene where the young singer learns of the losses on what came to be called "The Day the Music Died."

"When the kid who was playing me started screaming when the plane crashed, I almost fell to my knees," he said. "Sometimes you need somebody to scream for you. You realize there's a 19-year-old kid who still feels very deeply about things."

And the neighborhood cares deeply about him. During their visit to Belmont, Dion ducked into Artuso Pastry, where Joe, the second-generation owner, had a box of cookies and cannoli waiting for him.

"This is for all you do," Mr. Artuso said. "Good to be on your team, buddy boy."

Dion threw his head back with a smile. "Joey, you're a saint in the making!" he said.

He and Mr. Messina went down the street to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Dion's childhood parish. He climbed up the steps, stopped in the vestibule and smiled.

"The cap stays on," he said with a smile, as he pointed to his Kangol cap. "Not even cardinals know."

Even when he first felt the thrill of a hit record, he would still stop at the church and talk with Msgr. Joseph Pernicone, who pushed him when he was a teenager to think about the meaning of love or happiness.

"He once asked me, 'Dion what would make you happy?' " Dion said as he settled into a pew at the back of the church. " 'Well, there's this girl Susan I'd love to get close to. And while you're at it, throw in a hit record and a Thunderbird.'

" 'No, Dion. The virtuous man is the happy man,' " the monsignor replied.

"I had no idea what he meant," Dion said. "But he told me, it's the predisposition to do the right thing at the right time in the right way for the right reason."

He sat and looked around the sanctuary, which was bathed in a soft, golden light.

"I wouldn't be sitting here right now if not for him," he said. "I got lost in my life. But I eventually came back to what he taught me."

Mr. Messina craned his neck, taking in the details. "This will be good for set design," he said. "Look at this place."

A few blocks away on Arthur Avenue, they entered Pasquale's Rigoletto, where Dion was embraced like a favorite - and hip - uncle. A frown crossed his face only when a customer casually walked into the dining room and started singing. Dion got up, said a word to the ma^itre d' - and the singing stopped.

"I just want to eat," he said.

More than a half-century after his first hit, he thinks back to what his life was like as a child, when his grandfather Tony would wake him every morning to the rhythmic clack of a wooden spoon in a tin cup beating egg yolks, sugar and wine into a frothy yellow concoction known as zabaglione.

"That's brain food," Dion said. "That's one of the reasons my brain is so highly developed. By the time I got to school I was like, 'Trig? Bring it. Algebra? Bring it.' I haven't come down from that stuff."

So while he has learned from the past, he doesn't live in it. At 72, he has written new songs for the play. He's even coming out with a new album, "Tank Full of Blues," next month.

"I never felt more relevant," he said. "I feel more relevant now than I did in my 20s. It's probably the zabaglione."

Guy Point Of View Week Return To My Heart

Guy Point Of View Week Return To My Heart Image
Welcome to the first full story of "Guy's Point of View Week" here at Sequential Crush! "Return to My Heart!" originally appeared in Falling in Love #51 (June 1962). The reprint version (below) was published in Young Love #70 (September/October 1968).

"Return to My Heart!" is a story of a forbidden love -- between teacher and student. While not an entirely unusual storyline in romance comics, this one is different because it is told from the perspective of the male teacher and not the female student.

Mr. Forrest, a handsome English teacher is smitten with senior student, Celia Ames. He deals with his interest in her by trying to avoid her at all costs outside of the classroom...

...and inside the classroom, by reprimanding her. When ultimately confronted by Celia about his apparent dislike for her, he keeps his feelings for her inside; brushing his harshness off as a method of classroom control.

Mr. Forrest is not only the English teacher, but the drama coach as well. During practice one afternoon, Mr. Forrest does the unthinkable. He steps in for leading man -- Johnny, and shows him how the scene ought to be played. The rest of the class erupts in applause after the passionate kiss between Mr. Forrest and Celia. In return for their enthusiasm, the embarrassed Mr. Forrest gruffly demands that everyone memorizes their lines perfectly by the following Monday.

Following their very public kiss, the rest of the term flies by for Mr. Forrest. The end of the school year brings a graduation dance and Mr. Forrest is asked to be a chaperone. His evening of being an observer seems to going well until he catches a glimpse of Celia dancing with Johnny. His eyes lock with Celia's. She makes her way over to Mr. Forrest and asks him to dance with her since she will be leaving for college soon and won't see him again. Mr. Forrest hides his feelings for her and tells her to keep dancing with Johnny. With imagery so akin to the ladies of romance comics, Mr. Forrest lies awake night after night, thinking of his former pupil.

And here you thought only

the girls cried themselves to sleep!

Time goes on (as it tends to do) and after the passing of four years, Mr. Forrest decides to give it another shot at being a graduation dance chaperone. Suddenly, a tender gloved hand reaches out and it is no other than Celia, requesting a dance once again. This time, Mr. Forrest gives in and love washes over the happy (and age-appropriate) couple.

Though the script on this story sounds very similar to stories that are narrated from female character's perspectives, I think it is still pretty interesting reading a story from a male character's point of view. What do you think? Do you like the male perspective in the romance comics or do you prefer the more traditional female narrator?

Be sure to tune in the rest of the week for more examples of the

"guy's point of view" here on Sequential Crush!

German Women Have Bigger Breasts

German Women Have Bigger Breasts Cover
First, we find out that German men are terrible in bed because they stink, and now we find out that German women have larger breasts than usual. This can't be a coincidence.

A study of women's body shapes was conducted and they found that women's breasts are one whole inch larger than last year.

The survey also discovered that German women are even getting taller, with the average woman standing at 5'5".

Experts (ah, gotta love those experts) believe that the breast augmentation is a result of a much fattier diet.

What's worse is that the study also discovered that, not only do German men stink, they're also fatter than ever before.

So for those men out there who are having a hard time getting some play, head over to Germany; the women have swollen breasts that are longing to be touched and they won't sleep with the fat, stank German guys, so the level of competition is non-existent at best.
